Hoffman didn't stop their bullying, even calling Jennifer a "filthy wretch" when he scolded her in his office. Ironically, Jennifer did the orphan's laundry. She is loyal to her friends, including Wendy and Brown, and even to those who do not like her, such as the Aristocracy and the adults in the orphanage, fulfilling their orders and demands. Even when the other orphans bullied her, she wouldn't retaliate. She seemed caring and thoughtful of the others. When Jennifer was a child, she was the orphan who was most aware of her surroundings. Jennifer is abducted while exploring the seemingly abandoned Rose Garden Orphanage, and subsequently trapped on a surreal airship by a ragtag mob of disobedient orphaned children known as the Red Crayon Aristocrat Club who force her to do their commands under the threat of death. Very little is initially known about her in the beginning of the game, other than that she is a nineteen year old woman who is described by the unseen narrator as a "poor unlucky girl".
